The thought of Resiser being given a lesser sentence for cooperating with investigators on the whereabouts of Nina's body is absolutley absurd. He has lied and played the blame game since her murder and two innocent kids have forever lost their parents. He killed her right there in that house while the kids were playing. I applaud the jurors and the prosecutors in seeing through his bull[bleep]-and proving that overpowering circumstancial evidence can be utilized as actual proof of guilt without a confession or without a body. They should stick with his 1st Degree conviction. Nina nor the kids were given options. Why should he?

He's STILL blaming her, based on what her lawyer says. She pushed HIM too far? Then the lawyer says the children MAY have been in danger. Yeah, they probably WERE in danger -- from HANS REISER! Even WHILE leading authorities to the body, they're (Reiser and his lawyers) still trying to slime the victim and shift the blame. In what way does that help his client at THIS point? To me, that does NOT reflect the required "remorse" that's supposed to be part of the plea deal.

I know...stuff him in a duffel bag for 2 years and let him think about what he has done.
Obviously he majors on his own self importance rather than thinking about how his actions will affect those around him~~ hence stating over and over again he was innocent when the whole time he was being self-indulgent. The children he had to have to himself he will never have...and he abused and betrayed the love and belief his mother had in him. Imagine what life must have been like MARRIED to the monster!!! To him it was all about winning, I bet.
Yep, 2 years in a duffel bag would be too good for him. An eye for an eye.

this is why crime is what it is today, He KILLED her and they won"t to give him a LESSER Sentence becouse he showed them where the Body is? Go to court and LIE Be a #$@$% hole and have some money and you get off with 25 to life. BUT SHE IS DEAD. the system has no regaurd to LIFE, untell somthing happens to one of them law makers, then the $##T hits the Fan. But every day people we are out of luck.

Hey, moace132, that was the desire of Nina's family- not the justice system. Obviously it meant more to them to have their child's body back than to never see it again and have Hans rotting in prison.
I'm sure that the people prosecuting him would have loved nothing more than to see him die in prison for her death. We can only hope that either 1) he gets killed in jail (unlikely, because our prison system will protect him like Scott Peterson) or 2) After he's a parolee, someone murders his [bleep].
I know in most situations two wrongs don't make a right- but in some cases you'd have to think that's the only way justice can be served. He has no regret, he has no grief... he's a murderer, a sociopath. People like him just DON'T belong in public, and shouldn't be allowed to use up valuable resources such as clean air and water.
I really hope that some prisoners will get a hold of him and just go nuts :) Hans makes me SICK. Did you see his face on the news? In one shot, he had his head down on the desk like he was BORED out of his mind in the courtroom. Disgusting. There's a special place in HELL for him.
Bye bye world.... or will our hope still hold on?

Don't blame Hans for getting a soft sentance, blame:
-The Oakland PD for not finding the body despite using dogs and a volunteer search. The body was found near a home, god's sake. How incompetant. Who was thinking about the area to serach?
- The people who indicted him. We are such a rush to judgement in this country - rwe really want to condemn and kill people - just bloodlust. So, they pander to the public and try the guy TOO EARLY and now he gets off with a lighter sentence because he has to do their job of body hunting for them.
Look, the body would have shown itself eventually ( maybe clearing brush to forestall forest fires?) She is still dead and waiting until they had ALL the ducks lined up in a row would not have changed things - except to ensure a death penalty for him.

Reiser's intent was clear from the start. He denied everything and would have never spoken up if he was found innocent. If he wanted to prove his compassion for the victim's family, he had a long time to do that before making them go through a trial and stomache his defense. This is clearly an attempt to play his final card and try for a lesser sentence. Nobody should benefit from this, but he probably will since that's the way our system works.
Personally, I like to see him get more time just for trying to play the system.
