Everyday it seems as though the population of the City of Richmond decreases, and for what?  For reasons that are drastically unclear to the public and perhaps the victims themselves, it has become a sport to open fire on whoever, wherever, for whatever.  Gone are the days of drive by shootings because of gang turf, drug debts, and the like, now it's a look, a time, a moment, a blade of grass and your dead.  We have troops fighting in Iraq (fighting our enemies) but whose fighting the enemies at home?  The young men and sometimes women who kill just to kill?  We become a faceless society, no one speaks, no one visits, no one stops in an area they are unfamiliar with because you just might be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and someone walks up to you and shoots you in the face and within hours they're at the local McDonalds's kicking it, but a mother just lost her life, or a brother, or a sister, or a father, and for what? A society can not function if that society is choked into the reality of breathing life will somehow take your life and there is no reason given, demanded or called, it simply is.  Lord Jesus have mercy, Lord Jesus make your presence known, we are not alone.
