Festival of Sail San Francisco: July 23-27, 2008- Tall Ships®, from all over the world will sail under the Golden Gate Bridge upon arrival to San Francisco on July 23. The Bay Area is invited to celebrate maritime’s past, present and future, with an abundance of family activities, including cultural and musical entertainment and educational programs. The Festival of Sail will present five exhilarating days of activity including landside festivals, ship boarding, cruises, battle sails and hospitality events both on land and on the Bay. The Festival goes from Aquatic Park to A T & T Park and is broken up into three Villages around Environmental, International and Educational themes, see map below. The San Francisco Maritime National Park Association (501c3) is the producer of the Festival of Sail San Francisco. SFMNPA is the Cooperating Partner to San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The Association raises money and provides resources for the national park. Donations to San Francisco Maritime National Park Association sustain the Park, preserve an important icon of San Francisco, extend the reach of life-changing programs to students, and support our nations only floating U.S. National Park.
