Killion says: "The RTB (Raiders True Believers) insist that this all is an invention of the media. They flood blogs with assurances that everything is fantastic in the Nation, ignoring the reality: where there is silver-and-black smoke, there's usually a fire that burns entire seasons. The people the Raiders like to dub "false rumor-mongerers" are usually dead-on in their reporting." Read article

So what do you think?

The Raiders will rot in the AFC West cellar until Al Davis comes to his senses and let's his coaches do their jobs! When it comes to dealing with coaches and figuring out how to identify talent, it's clear that Davis is still stuck in the '70s.

I agree, I have been a Raider fan for years and have lived through the ups and downs like most of the rest of you. Al has a habit of ruining a good thing and trying to fix things that dont need to be fixed (Jon Gruden). Give Kiff his shot, he may be the next "Chuckie". The players like him and he appears to be doing a good job. Give him time to learn and bring winning back to Oakland where it belongs. Plus I am tired of going to the pro bowl and only seeing a raider a few times a gam. (No offense Shane).

Matters, who's coaching this team!Face it, Davis will not let go.. We as fans have to face the fact or leave the pack. We pray for a a great draft pick, we 've been getting it. Now use it. McFadden is the next piece to the puzzle. D-linemen will be out there and WRs, and corners, but use your pick here to take pressure off you million dollar QB. I'm still puzzled on why you keep Sam Williams, please what has he done in the last four years? C. Carter has to go...Porter... F. Washington ...later... Look at some free agents that will be available with some substances... Lofton is here for more than one reason and getting some real wide-outs is very crucial, and imagine the combo...Big arm QB, FAST SPEEDING WRs, with Lofton coaching them ...Nice...

I think the CCTimes has a lot of guts to talk competence after destroying their message boards with this new garbage format. That's why 90% of the raider board jumped over to a different site.

Two things,

One, everything is fine in Oakland.

Two, if things aren't good in Oakland, and if Kiffin really though he could extend his authority maybe he's not all that smart anyway and shouldn't be coach. His dads boss (Gruden) worked for Oakland, the co USC offensive coordinator turned it down for that very reason. So if he is all mad he can't get his way, then he's not to slick now is he?

well Ann, what do you know about running a NFL team, let alone anything about wearing a jock strap. Give me a break.....wow he was out dancing and was not wearing raider gear....god forbid.....my question is I saw bill parcells and tony dungy in street clothes, and east coast bias ESPN siad they are getting fired as well.....print that and make a mole hill out of nothing, then get a real job

I have been a die hard Raider fan from KY for 35 years. But I'm thinking about leaving the Black and Silver for another team if Al Davis continues to mess things up in Oakland. He needs to leave Kiffin alone and give him time to turn this mess around.

Let Kiffin go if he isn't part of the plan. Eat the money in the contract you offered. Man up and admit it isn't a fit for the team and move on. Otherwise, let the kid coach.

This comment is sad, but unmistakeably true. I have been a raider fan since i was 5 when my dad introduced me to football and stood by them through thick and thin. Even though they weren't winning, it still seemed like AL DAVIS was at least trying to. But ever since he traded away Gruden it has seemed liked its been nothing but a power trip to him! Almost nothing about winning, just about him. What i don't understand is "Why have a head coach if you never let them be a head coach?"!!! My understanding is that a head coach shoulders the responsibility of making a football team competitive and lead them to championships. But when you have a owner underminding virtually every call you make. Whether its with handling coaching staffs, dealing with players(drafting, signing, aquiring, disciplining, etc....the list goes on and on), or any other responsibilities a normal head coach would normally handle or at least really be a part of. AL DAVIS has ruined so many opportunities for us. Its really sad for all raider fans. Ive thought about picking another team to be a fan of, BUT only momentarily!!! I'm a RAIDER fan till I die. I could NEVER see myself for anyone else! But i would GREATLY appreciate it if, AL would just sell, really give a head coach a chance, something... Anything!!!! Just stick to owning the team and making business decisions leave the coaching to coaches! I was so excited with Kiffin as our coach coming back this year. He made us competitive again. Kinda like Gruden did when he first came but AL DAVIS's power trips ruined it then and is ruining it again!!!! JUST LET A HEAD COACH DO HIS JOB!!! I could go on and on but this is exhausting, I'm getting so frustrated thinking about it. Everything is NOT fine in Oakland. Not with AL DAVIS personally running the whole show.

Al Davis is insane and needs to be put out to pasture. The problem is he has surrounded himself with a bunch of yes men & women. Why should Ryan and Kiffen stick around this decrepit franchise?
