Nancy Nadel is only part of the problem. The city council in general is soft on crime. Look where all our Measuer Y money went....into endless and ineffective non-profits that are supposed to "talk criminals out" of being criminals. Make them want to flip burgers at McDonalds for peanuts instead of what they currently make selling meth, crank or 12 year olds on the streets of Oakland. Right. Why don't we have some programs to get them educated? That's what they need.

And the mayor is no better, the only thing he wants to do is help the ex-felons. Personally, I think the poor man is trying to resolve some issues he has about his son who is in prison for murder. His son shot and killed a man over a $20 bag of weed in Alameda over 20 years ago. My heart goes out to any parent in this situation, but I don't think Mayor Dellums is capable of doing what needs to be done to make Oakland safe anymore then Nancy Nadel or his asst Lenore Anderson does.

We must have people that speak up for the average citizens of Oakland...Sean Sullivan, Charlie Pine, Pat McCullough these are the folks I hope we elect in June. Let's make Oakland a safe place for all of us to flourish and thrive.
