He has a proven record of leadership through the Oakland Coalition of Congregations where he has built citywide coalitions to address crime, failing schools and redlining of East Oakland. He will focus on the quality of life issues like crime, open space preservation and jobs creation that will make the 7th district more prosperous. Larry Reid should retire and become a developer since that's what he's used his 12 years on the council to promote-himself! The residents of district 7 have suffered long enough.
