Water conservation technology from the drought in the 1970's is old technology. Shower heads, for instance, today are mandated by the State of CA to flow 2.5 gallons per minute. New heads, with highly comfortable flow patterns, are available that flow 1.6 gpm, or even 1.25 gpm. A person showering 10 minutes a day will save over 3000 gallons a water/year. HET (high efficiency technology) water closets also deliver impressive savings over the current 1.6 gpm models. Point of use hot water recirculation pumps prevent water from going down the drain by the bucket load. Check out the green pages at www.luntmarymor.com to see field tested models that make the grade. You wont only save some green in your pocket, the earth will feel the positive effects as well.

want to save water?  Flow restrictors work.   Don't flush the toilet every time you urinate.  Using 2-5 gallons of water to wash three ounces of urine down is stupid.  Wait all day and flush once.

Put containers by the kitchen sink and tub, and save the water you run ( when waiting for hot water) then water plants with it, OR use it in the toilet.  Always use water timers for sprinkling, forget once and you can run thousands of gallons.
